Robert Ray is the founder and CEO of Veritas Research, L.P. As a trial consultant, Dr. Ray brings a wealth of experience to the table, both as a trial consultant and as a trial attorney. Since 1998, Dr. Ray has provided research and courtroom consulting to attorneys in cases throughout the United States. His consulting, theme development and strategy advice has been sought by attorneys representing individual plaintiffs to Fortune 500 defendants in national mass tort litigation. He has provided research and consulting advice in mass tort actions such as tobacco and pharmaceutical litigation to insurance disputes and entertainment and publishing cases.

Dr. Ray received his Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Nebraska’s Law & Psychology Program. Before his Ph.D., Dr. Ray earned his law degree at South Texas College of Law in Houston, and was a briefing attorney to Texas’ Sixth Court of Appeals. Before entering the world of trial consulting, Dr. Ray practiced trial law for over twelve years, and tried over forty cases to jury verdict. Dr. Ray’s doctoral research investigated the effectiveness of digital animation evidence in the courtroom. He received his Master of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska and his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Ray is a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants and the American Psychology and Law Society.

Dr. Gayle Herde’s professional experience includes teaching oral communication at the professional and university levels as well as numerous years in the legal field specializing in litigation support, and trial research and analysis. Additional communication emphases include: public speaking and presentation enhancement; survey preparation, application, analysis and reporting; conducting research interviews; coordinating and moderating focus groups; and technical writing and editing. She possesses a Ph.D. and Master’s in Human Communications; a Bachelor’s in Psychology; post-secondary experience in drama; 15 years as a Litigation Paralegal focused primarily upon medical malpractice, intellectual property and product liability; working as a Litigation Consultant on projects from Alaska to Florida, Texas to Minnesota, Massachusetts to California; and she has been a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants since 1994.

Kristle Baillargeon, M.A.

Kristle Baillargeon utilizes all aspects of her background to help gain positive outcomes for her clients. Prior to becoming a jury consultant, she worked as a project manager for a market research company. There she learned the ins and outs of small group market research. Ms. Baillargeon also has litigation experience as a former legal assistant for a corporate law firm in Los Angeles. After receiving her Master of Science Degree in Forensic Psychology from California State University at Los Angeles, she transitioned to the field of jury consulting where she has become highly skilled in conducting jury research. Combining her training and work experience in market research, psychology and law, she provides valuable contributions to the design and implementation of trial simulations. In addition to research analysis, Ms. Baillargeon regularly assists well-known trial consultants with venue surveys, juror questionnaire evaluations, and post-trial interviews.

Ms. Baillargeon received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Puget Sound. While in her undergraduate career, she mentored with Pierce County Superior Court Judge Vicki Hogan and attended a forensic mental health seminar at Western State Hospital, as part of an independent study course. Ms. Baillargeon is also a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants and the American Psychology and Law Society.
